Job Description

Elements Casino Surrey is currently seeking a detail-oriented, guest focused Human Resources professional to join our team to assist with our recruitment initiatives, regulatory adherence, and training. This role will also be responsible for providing support services including HRIS input, processing HR documentation, and new team member orientation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with full cycle recruitment for various positions, including interviewing, reference checking and referring candidates
  • Facilitating various training programs such as: Orientation, Interview Skills, Paperwork Training etc.
  • Coordinating and processing new hire paperwork      
  • Coordinating and administrating various compliance training including: BCLC ART, AML, Food Safe, lottery certification, leadership courses, etc.
  • Providing HR advice and support to site managers and team members on HR processes and assisting with issue resolution
  • Create and design team member newsletter
  • Assisting with and coordinating HR initiatives such as: surveys, policy and procedure revisions and implementations, rolling out new programs, etc.
  • Coordinating, processing and entering HR documentation into our HRIS System (Oracle/Connect) and other databases
  • Creating and developing internal and external correspondence as appropriate
  • Assisting the Human Resources team with projects as assigned
  • Performing other duties as required

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:  

  • Minimum one year experience in HR
  • CHRP designation an asset
  • Post-secondary education in HR; or equivalent work experience
  • Comprehensive computer skills including all Microsoft Office products (strong Excel skills required)                    
  • Knowledge in HRIS systems (Oracle/Connect, an asset    
  • Proven track-record of responsiveness and meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • Legendary guest service skills with a “Make it Happen” attitude
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests

  • The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
