About the Opportunity:

 

The Marketing and Brand team is a core function of the Marketing and Communications department. The team increases brand familiarity, accelerates donor acquisition, contributes to overall revenue growth for the Foundation and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of relevant, differentiated and cohesive donor experiences across touchpoints.

 

The Marketing Specialist will report to the Director, Marketing and Brand. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the Director, Marketing and Brand on developing brand, performance and fundraising priority specific marketing campaign strategies
  • Work with our agency partner and Digital team, supporting the development and optimization of media plans across mass, programmatic, and paid social. Ensure campaigns are donor led, data driven and optimized in real time
  • Take ownership of campaign project management and support creative resourcing, utilizing Asana, calendars, briefs and other tools to effectively coordinate team members, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Act as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear RACIs and fostering strong working relationships with internal and external teams including Content & Communications, Digital, Development, BC Cancer, print vendors and agencies.
  • Generate and share donor, channel and competitor insights, leveraging data analytics, qualitative and quantitative research. Identify and action best practices and innovative opportunities to pilot and test  
  • Manage creative partner relationships, creating clear creative briefs, supporting the creation of compelling creative concepts and delivery of on brand assets including video, out of home ads, digital ads, signage, print, internal tools, templates, etc.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots, ensuring assets follow brand guidelines and fulfil needs to cross functional teams
  • Optimize the use of the project management tool and communication practices to ensure effective collaboration across teams
  • Ensure marketing campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, aligned with other teams’ tactics with a cohesive donor experience and objectives are achieved
  • Deliver campaign reports and insights, with feedback loops supporting ongoing campaign optimization and achievement of campaign objectives
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data to optimize campaigns and help shape future marketing strategies
  • Stay informed with current marketing and digital trends

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education in business, marketing or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in a marketing role

Core knowledge + skills:

  • Expertise in digital advertising.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects from briefing through to final execution, including strong project management, time management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Relentless focus on donor experience and understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and Google Analytics.
  • You are a quick learner and approach life and work with positivity, professionalism, and passion.
  • A strong critical thinker who has the ability to understand business challenges, turn high level strategies into concrete plans and clear creative briefs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Superior writing skills are essential.

Pay Range: $57,500 to $76,000
