About You:


We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist who is excited by the opportunity to craft and deliver meaningful and functional digital donor journeys that inspire, engage and motivate audiences to action.


You are a collaborative colleague and thrive when managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines. You have an impeccable eye for detail, and you like to plan, create and analyze.


Reporting to the digital marketing lead, your responsibilities will include the following key accountabilties:


Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing programs

  • Create and maintain the email marketing schedule and content calendar, integrating fundraising activations and key signature events
  • Identify program opportunities through data analysis.
  • Create donor journey maps, personalizing communications based on behavioral triggers, lifecycle segmentation, etc. Identify data and system automation needs to deliver on new programs
  • Create automated email campaigns including building creative, content writing, creating tracking links, testing for deployment, A/B testing and reporting
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Support email database hygiene informed by industry best-practice and internal collaboration
  • Maintain a solid and reliable understanding of email marketing best practices, and regulations throughout North America (including CASL) and Global markets (including GDPR)

Support the optimization of the website user experience

  • Maintain, analyze and apply data analytics to identify and prioritize site optimization opportunities, with a focus on campaign landing pages
  • Support Digital team with website content and design updates to ensure information and resources are kept up-to-date, accurate, and optimised for the user experience
  • Support the optimization of the end-to-end email user journey by supporting website user experience.
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to inform planning and curate content.

Core knowledge + skills:

  • Passion and demonstrated experience in digital problem-solving and analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including marketing automation platforms, website CMS, databases, HTML and Excel
  • Strong project management and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Understanding of effective user experience principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a number of teams and balance multiple projects and priorities


  • A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, specializing in marketing, communications, or relevant
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a role that involves email marketing, user experience and project coordination
  • You are a quick learner, adaptable and approach life and work with positivity and passion


  • Experience using online fundraising tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with Luminate Online and Wordpress
