About the Opportunity:


We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Recruiter to join our BC Cancer Foundation team. This role will partner with the People Managers across the Foundation to understand hiring needs, facilitate full cycle recruitment of junior to intermediate roles through a blend of active sourcing and traditional hiring.


The responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Providing full-cycle recruiting (intake, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks)
  • Consulting with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and develop effective sourcing strategies
  • Conducting sourcing activities to identify, engage and recruit top talent through LinkedIn and/or other sites
  • Proactively exploring and implementing new, creative and unique ways of sourcing candidates
  • Managing and overseeing the new hire onboarding process with the support of the HR Coordinator
  • Along with the HR Coordinator, assist in the creations and maintenance of recruitment data and metrics to produce regular reports on recruitment activity
  • Coordinating new hire paperwork and internal payroll paperwork
  • Performing other recruitment related duties as required



  • Education in Human Resources and a minimum three years’ related experience in full-cycle recruitment and active sourcing or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


Core knowledge + skills:

  • Experience in researching, developing, and implementing new candidate sourcing and search methods for both passive and active candidates
  • Proven track record of success with a variety of recruiting methods including direct sourcing and traditional methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience with collecting and compiling recruitment metrics
