Job Description

Elements Casino Surrey is looking for an outgoing, professional, guest service driven individual who is looking to further their career as a Relief Shift Manager, Slots, Cage & Guest Services. You will be responsible to provide leadership, direction, training and mentoring to the Slots, Cage & Guest Services Team, as well as, provide unrivaled personalized services to our team members and guests. This position requires flexibility for scheduling including evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekend shifts.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Providing leadership, direction and mentorship to cage, slots and guest services operations at the site level; developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports;
  • Implementing slot & cage operations strategic plans;
  • Overseeing slots technical department, slot data systems (SDS) and changes to slot floor plan;
  • Assisting with developing and implementing slot operation promotions;
  • Reviewing records for accuracy and preparing reports; making recommendations on opportunities for efficiencies;
  • Scheduling and supervising team members; verifying time sheets; assigning shift work assignments;
  • Resolving guest disputes; reporting irregularities, disputing suspicious activities; reviewing and preparing CSR Incident Reports;
  • Interviewing, hiring and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing performance; rewarding and providing feedback to team members; addressing complaints and resolving issues;
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of previous supervisory experience considered an asset;
  • Post Secondary education in Business / Finance or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and superior problem solving abilities;
  • Solid knowledge of all games and gaming industry standards;
  • Knowledge of CMP, SDS & GMS an asset;
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests;
  • A passion for providing unrivaled personal service to our external and internal guests;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule;
  • Computer literacy in MS Office;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to obtain and/or maintain a Serving It Right Certification;
  • The ability to successfully maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch;
