Job Description

Hard Rock Casino Vancouver is currently searching for a Relief Cage Supervisor with strong leadership and management ability to join our Cage Department. Our Relief Cage Supervisor is responsible for distributing, verifying and reconciling floats, completing large cash transactions and overseeing Cashiers on a shift basis. Our Relief Cage Supervisor is also entrusted to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the Cage team; providing input for employee performance evaluations and objectives
  • Preparing the Cage for opening and closing; distributing, verifying and reconciling Cashier floats
  • Verifying or completing large transactions
  • Documenting and reconciling cash and cash equivalents; providing reports
  • Participating in Cage corporate training; assisting in conducting site training
  • Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
  • Responding to, resolving or escalating cage issues
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Building strong working relationships with our internal and external guests
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed


  • High School Diploma; Post Secondary education an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume cash handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment and motivating, developing, and sharing in the successes of the team
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (if required)
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
