In this role, your primary responsibility will be to prepare all menu items with strict adherence to specifications in a safe and sanitary manner and to oversee the kitchen functions to ensure a high caliber of internal and external customer service. In addition, you will be accountable to ensure inventory levels are maintained, to evaluate kitchen procedures and processes and make suggestions for implementation and improvements, to create and cost daily specials, ensure workspaces are kept clean and sanitized, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. As a leader in the kitchen, you will direct the line and be accountable for the success of each shift. You will perform all duties required under the supervision of the Chef and Food & Beverage Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Pavilion outlet to prepare all menu items as per recipe standards
  • Ability to establish and complete, finish prep/par level lists.
  • Ensure proper rotation and storage of all food and related products
  • Ensure kitchen operations are always clean and up to the highest standards by maintaining cleanliness and personally ensuring standard.

The successful candidates will possess:

  • A post-secondary education in a related field
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and time management skills
  • Safe food handling course, knife handling skills, and knowledge of HACCP
  • The ability to obtain a Smart Serve Certification
  • The ability to obtain a clear criminal background clearance
