This positon will report to the Manager of Direct & Digital Marketing.


Duties and responsibilities for our next Social Media Marketing Coordinator will include:

  • Building and overseeing content calendars to determine appropriate timeline for posting, engaging and optimizing content specific to each platform
  • Creating, developing and implementing strategic organic social media plan for all Chances Properties focusing on the key areas of the business
  • Coordinating briefs to ensure digital campaigns, including social media, website and email campaigns are reflective of business objectives
  • Coordinating and contributing to content creation
  • Creating digital project schedules
  • Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries and comments across various platforms
  • Determining key messaging and developing creative briefs for tactical campaign executions
  • Making strategic recommendations and plans for organic social media to drive engagement, awareness and leads/acquisition
  • Coordinating and implementing updates to the Chances websites.
  • Tracking the effectiveness of social media campaigns through analytic tools and metrics
  • Performing other duties and tasks as required


Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • 1+ year in digital marketing and social media marketing experience
  • Post-secondary degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Should be strategic, creative, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrates an understanding of brand and social media best practices
  • Fluent in current social and digital media channels and trends
  • Creative and professional writing, editing and communication skills
  • Focused, disciplined, and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • High integrity in time management; prioritizing, multi-tasking and a sense of urgency to meet set deadlines
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
  • WordPress and Hootsuite knowledge an asset
  • requires access to reliable transportation as travel is required between sites.
