  • Preparing, pre-cooking, cooking and presenting menu items in a timely fashion; following standardized recipes
  • Developing daily specials and contributing to menu development
  • Preparing mise en place (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production
  • Assisting cooks with product receipts, breakdown, storage and rotation
  • Monitoring and managing food cost controls
  • Cleaning culinary equipment after use and/or removing soiled equipment to the dish pit
  • Assisting with month end inventories as directed
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests,ownership and employees)
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations licensing laws, health safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed


  • Minimum 4 years progressive culinary experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma
  • RED SEAL certification or equivalency or desire to complete
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic, highly motivated and creative
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • FoodSafe Level 1 & 2 and Serving it Right License certifications
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
