Job Description

Great Canadian Gaming is looking for our next GREAT colleague to join us as Administrator, Human Resources.


Under the general supervision of the Director, Total Rewards & Human Resources, the Administrator, Human Resources is an enthusiastic team member who is responsible for the coordination and administration of Human Resources activities for Great Canadian’s Corporate offices and for providing Human Resources program support for all Great Canadian properties, as applicable. The Administrator, Human Resources provides support to the Human Resources team and contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.


Duties and responsibilities for our next Administrator, Human Resources will include:

  • Supporting the onboarding process for new team members at all Corporate offices
  • Managing the Corporate Resource Library, including coordinating book requests, notifications, book orders and other tasks as applicable
  • Coordinating the GEM recognition program for Corporate offices, including the collection of nomination forms, quarterly meetings, document preparation and record keeping
  • Preparing and maintaining HR forms and other documents as needed
  • Preparing a variety of team member communications, including but not limited to the monthly milestone calendar or confirmation of employment letters
  • Preparing, maintaining and distributing Human Resources reports or other information, such as Site Fact Sheets, Contact Lists and other items as required
  • Maintaining Human Resources files and records for Corporate team members
  • Updating and maintaining the Human Resources Policies and Procedures (HR P&P) pages, including document revisions, circulating for and tracking approval
  • Maintaining site access to Human Resources shared folders and the HR P&P, including coordinating the addition and removal of site HR team members as approved
  • Preparing monthly expense claims and coordinating payment with Accounts Payable
  • Preparing Purchase Orders and managing invoice payment for Human Resources programs as directed
  • Maintaining monthly audit files for department budgets and prepares reconciliation on a regular basis
  • Organizing team events and other activities, including booking meeting space, coordinating participant lists and managing invitations, ordering supplies or catering and other tasks as required
  • First point of contact for general Human Resources questions and requests for information
  • Liaising and communicating professionally and effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization and across all properties and all appropriate operational departments as needed
  • Building strong working relationships with management, guests and team members
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources and 2 to 4 years’ experience in Human Resources administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Quick learner and team player who also works well independently
  • Action-oriented, pro-active and results focused
  • Able to work well in a fast paced, growing and changing environment
  • Approachable and able to work with team members at all levels within the organization
  • Able to handle highly sensitive information and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
