Great Canadian is currently accepting applications for a Project Coordinator (Coordinator, Operational Readiness) to join our team!

 

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, Business Integration, this position is responsible for providing support in the planning, execution, tracking and reporting of projects of varying size and complexity, as assigned.

 

Duties and responsibilities for our next Coordinator, Operational Readiness will include:

  • Responsibility for tracking and coordinating project activities across all phases
  • Assisting and/or collaborating with Project Managers/Senior Management team to prepare project planning, budgeting and identification of resources required
  • Providing accurate and relevant data on project progress; reviewing and providing recommendations to the senior management team
  • Assisting and/or planning project timelines, phases and milestones, critical path, turn over and occupancy dates, deliverables and project close out
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and Regulators as required
  • Facilitating project meetings, project communications and status reports as required
  • Effectively and accurately communicating relevant project information to operations and the project team
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management and employees
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Managing other initiatives as required

  • 1-3 years of experience or a suitable combination of Project Management education and/or experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management tools (MS Project)
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving, time management and prioritization skills with an attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
