Job Description

SCOPE AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB

 

Security Officers enjoy being part of a team whose primary job is to create a safe, fun and entertaining experience for our guests. Being a team player with a positive, can-do attitude is a must. Security Officers respond to emergency situations and monitor access to the site. Security Officers maintain protection of assets, guests and employees in compliance with Casino Nova Scotia’s procedures, GEM, Nova Scotia Liquor Control Act and Nova Scotia Alcohol & Gaming regulations.

 

Requirements:  Must have security specific training or equivalent security experience,    High School graduate, must pass NSAGFTD Licensing, Responsible Gaming and CNS Security training

      • Monitors transactions in accordance with regulations and controls
      • Handles responsible beverage service enforcement under the                   Liquor Control Act
      • Keeps knowledge of F&B specials and our Player’s Club Program current
      • Handles difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
      • Responds to emergency situations (AED, First Aid, CPR- will train)
      • Able to stand and patrol for extended periods                               

                                                                                                      

Hours of Work:                                                    Rotating Shifts- call ins- varied shift length. Must be available for call ins on short notice.
