Bingo Esquimalt is currently looking for a vibrant and out-going individual to join the team as a Gaming Attendant Caller. The successful candidate will be energetic, dynamic and detail orientated. Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to, customer service, selling cards, cash handling, calling games, and completing detailed paperwork all while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and guests.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitate the smooth operation of each bingo event
  • Clear and accurate calling of all bingo numbers
  • Sell cards and help to complete any duties in preparation for bingo games
  • Check all bingo balls and equipment for damage and if needed replacement
  • Follow all applicable policies and procedures pertaining to calling bingo games
  • Ensure bingo balls are placed in the racks prior to starting any games
  • Monitor and maintain all bingo machines and equipment
  • Perform public announcements as outlined by the Manual.
  • Delivering the highest caliber of customer service to all guests
  • Monitoring the gaming floor for irregular or suspicious activities and report to the manager
  • Maintain general awareness of bingo gaming floor at all times
  • Comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Strong verbal, written communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of Bingo rules and operations is considered an asset
  • Proven excellent guest service and people skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. The hours of work will be based on guest and business needs.
