General Description of Job

Casino Slot Supervisors supervisor Slot area in compliance with the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) terms and conditions, site controls and department policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and maintain an open door policy and confidentiality with all employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the company while orienting staff to operations and complying with pre-determined policies and procedures. The Slot Supervisor is responsible for the administration, day to day supervision and operation of the slot department.

Casino Slot Attendants make attending to guests’ needs their number one priority and develop the skills to keep slot machines working smoothly. As the eyes and ears of the gaming floor, you consistently exceed guests’ expectations and create a memorable playing environment that can help give guests that lucky vibe so they stay longer and increase revenues for the casino.

Working Conditions

  • Use proper lifting, bending, pushing and pulling techniques
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency
  • The capabilities to multi task under time constraints
  • Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position, and/or obtain and maintain an NBLGC license registration
  • Must have employment eligibility in Canada
  • Must be 19 years of age or older

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Bilingualism is essential
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous supervisory experience required, preferably in a customer service environment
  • Previous gaming experience is an asset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
  • To logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner
  • Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents, receive/follow/apply instructions
  • Possess high-quality interpersonal skills and work well in a team
  • Set and achieve high standards of performance and customer service skills (internal & external)
  • Complete training course(s) offered by the Casino
  • To fully understand and have the ability to complete all duties within the department
  • Comprehend and apply all NBLGC, Casino , and slot department policies and procedures
  • Perform basic math skills and use problem solving skills
  • Wide range of computer knowledge of different programs (word, excel, power point, etc)
