Job Description

We’re looking for outgoing, professional, guest service driven individuals with cash handling experience who want to further their career as a Count Team Attendant/Cashier. This dual coded role requires Count Team Attendant/Cashier to work both independently and in a team environment. As a Count Team Attendant/Cashier, you will maintain a cash float and conduct cash and chip transactions accurately, collect and count currency and chips, and verify and process cash boxes. This position requires flexibility for scheduling including evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekend shift. In this dual coded position you will primarily work in the Count Team Attendant role and as operational needs require will progress into also working in the Cashier role.


Count Team Attendant responsibilities include:

  • Counting bills, coins and cash equivalents; Bagging, bundling, securing and transporting counts;
  • Pulling cash boxes from slot machines and transporting them to the count room; Organizing and securing the storage of count carts, cash boxes and cassettes for count pulls;
  • Operates automated money counter equipment to count and process tickets/currency that were removed from all cash boxes/cassettes; Complete daily maintenance of all money counter equipment;
  • Reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents; Verifying and reconciling before and after counts; Providing     information for reporting purposes;
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.

Cashier responsibilities include:

  • Handling cash transactions including but not limited to foreign currency exchange, traveler’s cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins and bills; Redeeming value chips and gaming tickets for cash; Selling vouchers and value chips as required;
  • Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities;
  • Verifying and processing machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits;
  • Issuing opening floats to Slot Attendants; reconciling closing floats;
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments;
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications of successful candidates:

  • High School diploma; post secondary education an asset;
  • One year experience in high volume cash handling and counting preferred;
  • Ability to push, pull carts weighing up to 250lbs and lift boxes filled with currency and chips weigh up to 50lbs on a consistent basis;
  • Ability to stand and walk for all periods of time on a consistent basis; Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items on a consistent basis;
  • Must be able to differentiate denominations of chips and authenticity of currency; Must be able to operate a computer, ten key adding machine and money counter;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand, speak and write English;
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests;
  • The ability to obtain & maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch;
  • Serving it Right Certification or ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification.
