Job Description

Chances Maple Ridge, Chilliwack and Dawson Creek are looking for our next GREAT colleague to join our team as a Graphic Designer.  This role will require the production of a variety of creative material for print, Direct Mail, web, and interactive platforms.  In addition to strong organizational and interpersonal skills, this role requires candidates to be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team.  Candidates will need to have a strong strategy and design chops, amazing work ethic and great communication and collaboration skills.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Design promotional materials such as: Direct Mail, monthly calendars, posters, print ads, brochures, logos and signage;
  • Regulate the branding of Chances and ultimately ensuring the branding is within GCGC guidelines and standards on all marketing materials;
  • Create electronically –page layouts; may develop and produce web-based graphics as requested;
  • Write, edit and inspect proofs for accuracy where appropriate;
  • Designated point person for all creative direction for the Chances sites;
  • Provide graphic design support to the corporate PROUD, Internal Communications and Stakeholder Relations team members;
  • Produce and design: presentations, campaigns, infographics, newsletters and other materials as necessary and required;
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Successful Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited design program;
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in graphic design;
  • Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques and equipment;
  • Knowledge and experience in strategic marketing;
  • Experience in creating full scale graphic design campaigns;
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadline pressure;
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Experience with the creative suite including Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and MS Office;
  • Up to date on all current social media tools and trends;
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal record and credit check by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
