Job Description

We’re looking for outgoing, professional, guest service driven individuals with cash handling experience who want to further their career as a Cashier/Count Attendant. This role requires Cashier/Count Attendant to work both independently and in a team environment. As a Cashier/Count Attendant, you will maintain a cash float and conduct cash and chip transactions accurately, collect and count currency and chips, and verify and process cash boxes. This position requires flexibility for scheduling including evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekend shift.



  • Handling and counting cash transactions including but not limited to foreign currency exchange, traveler’s cheques, coins and bills;
  • Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities;
  • Redeeming value chips and gaming tickets for cash; Selling vouchers and value chips as required;
  • Verifying and processing machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits;
  • Issuing opening floats to Slot Attendants; reconciling closing floats;
  • Organizing and securing the storage of count carts, cash boxes and cassettes for count pulls;
  • Operating automated money counter equipment to count and process tickets/currency that were removed from all cash boxes/cassettes;
  • Documenting and reconciling transactions; Reconciling bank deposits, preparing revenue reports and providing information for reporting purposes;
  • Building strong working relationships with our team members and guests;
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.



  • High School Diploma and Post-Secondary Education is an asset;
  • Minimum one year of experience with high volume cash handling;
  • Strong computer literacy skills;
  • Ability to push, pull and lift boxes filled with currency and chips on a consistent basis;
  • Ability too stand and walk for long period of time on a consistent basis;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand and deliver superior customer service to internal and external guest;
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity;
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certification;
  • The ability to obtain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
