Job Description

View Royal Casino is seeking an energetic Human Resources professional to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering HR services to a site, including coordinating employee requests and changes, as well as providing HR administrative support while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

 

The successful candidate may be responsible for the following:  

  • Enters and maintains respective site JDE HRIS duties; new employee entries, current employee changes, compliance tracking and running reports
  • Facilitates and oversees the full cycle recruitment process (including sourcing, screening, interviewing and referencing candidates)
  • Provides HR advice and support on team member relation concerns to site managers and team members on all HR processes; assisting with issue resolution
  • Processes HR paperwork and maintains site files
  • Maintains the Organizational Chart as updates occur
  • Administers employee benefits registration
  • Runs workforce analytics reports through Cognos
  • Maintains lists of regulatory requirements
  • Responds to employment verification requests
  • Prepares internal correspondence as directed
  • Liaises with other locations on employee and file transfers
  • May attend the OH&S meetings as an employer representative
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Provide coverage for other members of the HR team when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:  

  • Minimum two years experience in Human Resources, with administration experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Previous experience with full cycle recruitment and team member relations
  • Fully versed with all employment, health and safety and human rights legislation in B.C.
  • Comprehensive computer skills including all Microsoft Office products & HRIS systems (JD Edwards an asset)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; mediation and conflict management/resolution experience required
  • Ability to work independently under minimal guidance and able to work under pressure, maintain composure and professionalism in an interrupt-driven environment and must be able to multi-task
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and display good judgment, accuracy and discretion
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle stress in a constantly changing environment and multi-task various projects and/or situations under pressure
  • Independent worker and enthusiastic and energetic
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, advanced levels an asset.
