Job Description

Position Summary:

Chances Maple Ridge is currently looking for a vibrant Gaming Attendant. Under the direct supervision of the Gaming Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to, customer service, selling cards, cash handling, calling games and completing detailed paper work, all while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sell cards and help to complete any other duties in preparation for the session.
  • Welcome, educate, direct and serve the customers promptly, professionally and positively.
  • Assist with floor sales, call backs, specials tables, and clean up during the event.
  • Check the lights, monitors, etc. before starting to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
  • Check with the Bingo Coordinator for the schedule in place for that session and be aware of the format, any changes and all current promotions.
  • Verifies and processes jackpots, short pays, cancelled credits and hand-pays; makes change; clears tilts and jams; replenishes ticket inventory
  • Conducts prescribed maintenance on slot machines as required
  • Distributes and monitors Reserved signs
  • Documents and reconciles transactions
  • Monitors and reports all irregular or suspicious activities
  • Know who the paymaster is, the number of floor staff and their names.
  • Assume responsibility for cards, cash and floats that have been issued.
  • Maintain a supply of the necessary products and promptly sell to players wishing to purchase.
  • Be visible on the floor at all times.
  • Complete deposits, as well as, daily paperwork and reports.
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Serving It Right certification
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Compensation

Chances offers $11.40 - $14.25 per hour (dependent on skill level) plus tips, an extended benefits plan which includes medical, dental, vision care and MSP coverage, to eligible employees, as well as provides growth opportunities to our rising stars.
