Job Description

We are currently on the look-out for an excellent team member to join us as a Guest Services Representative. In this role, you will greet and provide a warm reception to all of our guests.  
  • Duties and Responsibilities of our Guest Services Representative include: 
  • Answering internal and external telephone calls; informing or re-directing calls accordingly
  •  Greeting all guests; offering information on the facility, events and promotions and ensuring all needs are met
  • Building and maintaining relationships with guests, through use of recognition and personal attention
  •  Ability to make clear concise announcements over a PA system
  •  Issuance and balancing of cash value promotional IVS programs
  •  Conducting guests to other areas as requested;
  • Carrying out the daily operational requirements of the Racebook
  •  Promoting and signing up guests for the BC Encore player rewards program
  • Responding to, resolving or escalating issues as required
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  •  Complying with licensing laws,
  • Assisting with all internal and external promotions and special events
  • Adhering to all GCC, and BCLC policies as they relate to functions of the position
  •  Education and Qualification Requirements:
  •  Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Second language a strong asset
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.  The scheduled hours of work will be based on customer and business needs.
