Job Description

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is a Canadian based company that operates gaming, entertainment and hospitality facilities in British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Washington State. Great Canadian is looking for our next GREAT colleague to join us as our Staff Accountant, Treasury. Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Accounting, this position is responsible for verifying daily deposits and performing monthly reconciliations. 

Duties and responsibilities for our next Staff Accountant, Treasury will include:

  • Verifying daily deposits
  • Preparing daily internal transfer and external wires
  • Performing monthly reconciliations
  • Updating treasury information as required
  • Preparing daily statements of available cash
  • Following up with bank and operations on variances
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Building strong working relationships with guests and employees
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting/Finance or suitable combination of education and experience
  •  CGA, CMA or CPA student, Level 4
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and JDE or other related accounting software an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance; treasury experience preferred
