Job Description

Are you ready to get in the game of driving Sales & Catering for View Royal Casino? Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage, this position is responsible for all aspects of finalizing and documenting sales and catering details while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. As we gear up to become Elements Casino Victoria, the Sales & Catering Coordinator will also be responsible for negotiating and booking new and repeat business through social media and networking while maximizing sales and profitability of the casino.



  • Plans, up-sells and details meetings and functions with the client, including space requirements, dates, times, equipment, menus, billing instructions, etc
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records of events, guests, orders, payments and expenses
  • Liaises closely with Food and Beverage/Kitchen to develop menus, pricing
  • Inspects facilities before, during and after the event
  • Manages and resolves guest issues efficiently and promptly
  • Compiles and distributes Sales and Catering Reports
  • Participates in trade shows or culinary events to remain on the culinary cutting edge and presenting new concepts to senior management
  • Maintains food and labour costs as per budgetary guidelines and making suggestions to improve profitability
  • Develops performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Liaises and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, heath & safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed



  • High School Diploma
  • Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales and catering
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Experience with Opera/Fidelio, Squirrel an asset
  • SIR, Smart Serve or IGB Certificate
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
