We have the right job for you…. Casino Nanaimo is seeking a qualified, client oriented individual to fill the role of Surveillance Operator. In this position, you will be responsible for the monitoring of all areas of the casino property and maintaining documentation.  You will be working together with a team and will be required to write and generate reports, while maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

· Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations regarding large cash/cash equivalent transactions, exclude and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access

· Maintaining logs, preparing daily reports; storing records for evidence purposes

· Monitoring and documenting and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment

· Performing preventive maintenance on equipment

· Gaming knowledge an asset

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time

· Possess a high level of honesty and integrity

· Adherence to high standards, methods and procedures

· Computer proficiency

· Background experience in Criminology an asset

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and graveyard shift

· Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
