General Description of Job

The Housekeeping Attendant cleans and maintains the complex in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) terms and conditions.   Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and co-workers. Adhere to safety and security standards of the Complex while complying with applicable pre-determined internal control procedures.  Other duties include, but are not limited to: interacting with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, and provide information as needed and performs cleaning duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift, and handle repetitive movement and physical endurance is required
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position, and/or obtain and maintain an NBLGC license registration
  • Must have employment eligibility in Canada
  • Must be 19 years of age or older

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred but not necessary
  • Working knowledge of floor machines (and any other relevant equipment), WHMIS and Biohazard Clean up experience is an asset
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team oriented environment, and be able to function independently also
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
