Job Description

Hard Rock Casino Vancouver is on the look-out for a detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to maintain food and beverage costing in an accurate and timely manner. If you are always the banker when   playing monopoly and are always able to balance your cheque book this may be the position for you! Our next Accounting Administrator will excel in working with numbers while working in a fast paced and   exciting environment. As a member of our Accounting team, you will be responsible for costing of monthly inventory reports, and    preparing and analyzing food and beverage cost of sales to ensure the department operates effectively and efficiently.


Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Cash counting and bank deposit preparation
  • Food & Beverage menu costing and maintenance
  • Float maintenance and administration
  • Reconciling promotion accounts and daily floats
  • Preparing and distributing comps and void reports
  • Reconciling Quality Service Assurance (QSA) reports
  • Reconciling promotion accounts and daily floats
  • Maintaining petty cash
  • Maintaining inventory database
  • Assisting in inventory counts and valuations
  • Preparing cost of sales entries with analysis
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Minimum 1 year of recent working experience in handling cash/ credit cards and balancing reports in a food and beverage outlet environment is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary accounting education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Computer literacy in MS Office; POS experience, accounting software an asset
  • The ability to achieve a Serving It Right certificate
  • Students welcome
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
