Job Description

Guest Services Representatives at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver are outgoing, personable, and energetic. Simply put, they are rock stars! They all are driven by our Vision: To be THE headliner in gaming, hospitality and entertainment by enhancing the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver guest experience! Our Guest Services Representatives are in-the-know with all of the latest casino promotions, services, and offerings. They have the ability to adapt and connect with our team members and guests while ensuring they adhere to all policies and procedures. Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Slots & Guest Services, our Guest Services Representatives are responsible for providing an outstanding and Rockin’ It guest experience, as they have the first and last opportunity to build a legendary moment for our guests. We are also having career fairs on Wednesday August 2nd from 1pm to 4pm AND Thursday August 3rd from 5pm to 8pm at Asylum at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on 2080 United Boulevard (Please enter through the main entrance of the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver and check in with a member of the HR Team).  Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Answering internal and external telephone calls; informing or re-directing calls accordingly
  • Greeting all guests; offering information on the facility, coat check, events and promotions and ensuring all needs are met
  • Building and maintaining relationships with guests, through use of recognition and personal attention
  • Ability to make clear concise announcements over a PA system
  • Issuance and balancing of cash value promotional IVS programs
  • Conducting guests to other areas as requested; conducting facility tours and bus tours
  • Carrying out the daily operational requirements of the Racebook
  • Promoting and signing up guests for the BC Encore player rewards program
  • Responding to, resolving or escalating issues as required
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:  

  • Legendary guest service skills with a “Make it Happen” attitude
  • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A passion for providing Rockin’ It Service to our internal guests in the quest of achieving service excellence
  • Live HRCV’s Values all day, every day: Respect, Original, Caring, Kickin’ Service, Integrity and No  Excuses
  • Must have previous guest service experience
  • High school diploma
  • Post-Secondary education in hospitality and or hotel or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right certificate
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
