  • Casino Nanaimo welcomes her guests with a friendly smile and outstanding service.  Our casino offers an exciting mix of table games and slot machines featuring a wide variety of game themes and denominations for our guests’ gaming entertainment. We are seeking qualified individuals who are interested in furthering their career as Experienced Card Dealers at our Nanaimo location. The Card Dealers will produce fun-filled experiences for our guests that will leave them coming back for more!. Under the direct supervision of the Gaming Manager, this position is responsible for providing dealing services to our guests. Card Dealers must ensure adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. 

Other tasks include:

  •   Providing exceptional service to our guests;
  •   Engaging our guests and encouraging their usage of other property features;
  •   Controlling the order of play; closing bets at the appropriate time and maintaining game integrity;
  •   Conducting all games in a precise, efficient and secure manner, according to policies and procedures, licensing laws and statutory regulations.

Successful Card Dealers will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Experience in dealing card games – Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Poker, or Roulette  
  • Strong communication and mathematical skills
  • You must be able to work 40 houors per week (hours may vary depending on operational needs) in a variety of shifts
  • Adhering to the high standards, methods and procedures of Great Canadian Casinos
  • Proven guest service skills
  • Strong ability to multitask, follow policies, procedures and practices
  • Manual dexterity and able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right License
