BC Cancer provides a comprehensive cancer care program for the people of British Columbia in partnership with regional health authorities to deliver a range of cancer services, which include prevention, screening and early detection, diagnosis and treatment, research, education, supportive care, rehabilitation and palliative care. It operates six regional cancer centres in Surrey, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Abbotsford and Prince George, along with two research centres that conduct research into the causes and cures for cancer.
BC Cancer – Victoria offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling.

Applicants must be eligible for licensure as a specialist in British Columbia and have Canadian certification (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP) at the time of appointment. You must also be suitable for appointment to the University of British Columbia. No previous experience in Radiation Oncology is required. The department will support the successful applicant in developing the requisite expertise for the role. Symptom management for patients on active treatment, patient follow-up visits and inpatient care are common areas of GP-RO involvement. Candidates interested in 0.4-0.8 FTE will be considered.
