BC Cancer is committed to advancing cancer care through basic science, translational, and clinical trials research. BC Cancer – Victoria serves a large patient population on Vancouver Island. Our center has an active Clinical Trials Unit and houses the Deeley Research Center (11,000 sq. ft. general immunology and molecular biology labs).
What you’ll do
A portion of time will be devoted to conceptualizing, implementation, and analysis of a lung cancer specific research project.
In addition, a portion of time will be devoted to clinical experience and direct patient interaction. This will involve running a semi-independent longitudinal clinic under the guidance of a supervisor, active participation in clinical trials, and attendance at weekly Lung multidisciplinary rounds.
What you bring
Applications are open to all trainees who have completed core training in an oncology discipline and are seeking to enhance their research and clinical skills. Candidates must be eligible for an educational license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
