BC Cancer - Abbotsford seeks a Medical Oncologist to join the team starting September, 2019. Expertise in gynecology, breast and lung malignancies would be desirable.

 

The successful applicant will be one of 12 Medical Oncologists / Hematologists at the BC Cancer-Abbotsford, a full service cancer centre that provides service to approximately 1800 new patients per year. The BC Cancer-Abbotsford has a full range of medical oncology, diagnostic and support services.

 

BC Cancer - Abbotsford is committed to excellence in clinical care and is focused on developing academic excellence in a provincial cancer care environment. BC Cancer’s population-based model and resultant databases provide outstanding opportunities for outcome-based research. Abbotsford Centre participates actively in several clinical trials groups. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, to participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities. Although expertise in gynecology, breast and lung malignancies would be desirable but all candidates with suitable qualifications are encouraged to apply for this position.

 

Abbotsford, the “City in the Country”, is nested in the shadow of majestic Mt. Baker, in the eastern Fraser Valley, and has a blend of modern urban living and a friendly country atmosphere. Thanks to the comfortable west coast climate and surrounding geography, a variety of recreational opportunities are nearby. Abbotsford is at a short drive to Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.

 

The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC and meet all credentialing requirements for appointment as medical oncologist at BC Cancer and Abbotsford Hospital. A competitive compensation package is offered and will be commensurate with experience.
