This position is based in Vancouver, BC. However, consideration may be given to candidates residing in other locations within BC.

 

 

Reporting to the Manager Change Management, Workforce Strategies, the Change Management Specialist leads and supports comprehensive change management programs in support of small and large scale organizational process redesigns and transformational business strategy initiatives analyzing the organizational capacity for change and resource capabilities.


What you’ll do

  • The Specialist provides an understanding of the change continuum and acts as an internal consultant to the organization bringing leadership to organizational goals and objectives; supporting programs and teams to enable performance improvement and excellence in care and service.
  • Analyze organizational change solutions, the interdependencies and timing of change initiatives across the organization, and the impact of change solutions on other areas and processes within the organization.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and monitoring the outcomes of change initiatives, and work closely with the Human Resources team to address the impact a change initiative will have on employees to ensure an effective and efficient transition through the process.
  • Lead/support corporate change initiatives through planning, implementation, integration, evaluation and on-going monitoring; providing skilled leadership throughout each step in the process at all levels in the organization and across all agencies.
  • Recommend, manage and monitor budgets, including both operational and capital funds, assigned to the change initiative.
  • Leverage internal resources and supports across the organization to enable change ensuring alignment to the organization’s strategic objectives and goals.
  • Research and develop the process, tools and techniques to effectively assess and manage the impact of transformation initiatives on the organization.
  • Support the organization’s strategic and tactical direction setting by monitoring congruence of change initiatives with these directions.

 

 

What you bring

Qualifications

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Business Administration, plus a minimum of seven (7) years recent related experience in organizational development with training in strategic planning, communications, leadership development, human resource management, finance, quantitative and analytical skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Broad knowledge of change program design, methods affecting an organization, developing and managing project communication strategies, organizational readiness assessments, evaluation and monitoring, principles, how change management methodologies interface with all phases of a project, application of financial management, and research methods and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in organizational design, including overall organization structure, service delivery models, job impact analysis, role design and performance metrics program design.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving to develop progressive, creative and innovative enterprise wide solutions.

  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

Job Type: Regular, Full-time

Salary Range: $86,398 - $124,197 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
