Pharmacy Technician - BC Cancer Abbotsford

 

Help us get our patients the medications they need so we can fulfill our vision of “excellence in health, every time.

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Process medication orders clinically reviewed and approved.
  • Receive prescriptions from practitioners and ensures they are complete and authentic.
  • Prepare, process and compound prescriptions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions by verifying order entries and/or performing the final check of dispensed prescriptions.
  • Process prescriptions for temporary inpatient leaves of absence.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies.
  • Enter and ensure the accuracy and completeness of drug and personal health information in the pharmacy information system.
  • Maintain stock levels and perform clerical duties as assigned.

You are:

  • Currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

You have:

  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to deal with others effectively
  • The physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • The ability to keyboard
  • The ability to organize work
  • The ability to operate related equipment

The service provider (“Brainhunter”) allows the option for you to delete your account after signing into the system. Before deletion you are advised with a warning. Your record is permanently purged / deleted from the respective site and the record will not be available in any searches. The job will have only the respective application information that you made previously.
