Senior Technical Analyst, Integrated Electronic Health Records Solutions (IEHR) 

 

 

Help us optimize our integrated electronic health records systems so we can provide seamless health services.

 

The Provincial eHealth Services portfolio is responsible for the development, system support, user deployment, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management services for a number of core eHealth solutions, including: 

  • CareConnect
  • iEHR/PLIS
  • Sunset
  • PDIV
  • Other internal or administrative systems like: EMS, NAMA, Enrolment Tool, testing tools, etc.

                                               

The Senior Technical Analyst, IEHR will also help to facilitate the establishment of eHealth operations within PHSA including liaising with Ministry of Health on eHealth agreements and budgets for Panorama, PDIV, CareConnect, and PLIS.

 

 

As our successful candidate, you will: 

  • Provide senior technical support, project leadership and systems administration for Integrated Electronic Health Records (IEHR) initiatives.
  • Work with the Regional Manager and Application Coordinator to establish technology integration strategies and directions.
  • Assess current and future technology and architectural requirements and direct team members.
  • Design and develop technology solutions, processes and/or policies.
  • Work closely with Technical Services and Enterprise Solutions team members to provide integrated solutions and support.
  • Maintain the efficient and ongoing operation of server architecture including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical.
  • Develop and implement hardware and software projects. Develop system software back up, recovery and maintenance procedures.
  • Direct, guide and train team members. Oversee the work of assigned team members, project and contractors.
  • Maintain system efficiency by monitoring performance, optimizing and recommending upgrades.
  • Lead and/or implement the application/programming of software patches or fixes.
  • Participate in the evaluation of current and future system requirements.
  • Design and implement advanced operating system extensions (system programs, menus, maintenance, scripts, etc.) Translate requirements into logical, economical, and practical systems designs.

 

 

You have: 

  • Education training and experience equal to graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science or Computer Systems Technology and 4 years' recent, related experience working with multi-platform environments.
  • Knowledge of relevant LAN server and desktop hardware and associated sub-systems.

Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005, VMware, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, and Active Directory. Experience with NetIQ, scripting (VBScript for example), C-sharp (C#) Microsoft.NET Framework, Sentillion Suite of Applications, and the ability to troubleshoot and modify C# Browser Helper Objects and Window monitors (Hooks and SendMessage) are assets.
