Senior Data Consultant, Performance Measurement and Reporting

 

Lead our data analysis and help us optimize our laboratory performance.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead our data management, extraction, reporting, biostatistical analysis and interpretation.
  • Apply your expert knowledge of laboratory and/or clinical data, data management and warehousing, database queries and business intelligence tools.
  • Employ project management expertise and methodologies to ensure successful completion of project components and deliverables.

 

As our successful candidate, you will:

  • Design the approach and responses to requests for data and analytical products from stakeholders.
  • Provide knowledge, analysis and technical expertise in data governance and information management.
  • Assist with and advise on the development and operation of our data holdings and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and manage data access/data sharing policies, procedures and agreements by ensuring the safety, security, integrity and confidentiality of data stored accord with industry standards, applicable legislation, policies and data sharing agreements.
  • Assist our epidemiologist, analysts and consultants with data quality issues, potential improvement, and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Review services by identifying, monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators and service delivery.
  • Link, extract, validate, analyze and present data (in formats from manual ad-hoc queries to automated dashboards and reports.)
  • Participate in design and operation working groups.
  • Critically evaluates data and data extraction methods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and availability of data for compilation, analysis and interpretation for identifying emerging quality and utilization priorities and opportunities.

 

You have:

  • Education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, and/or Informatics.
  • At least eight (8) years recent related experience in business intelligence, statistics and/or the health information field in a large, complex organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of descriptive statistics, statistical inference and modeling using statistical software such as SPSS, R and/or SAS.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex and customized SQL queries for relational databases, with applied experience with business intelligence tools (ex: Tableau, IBM Cognos, SAP BusinessObjects).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and system analysis skills including the ability to comprehend complex issues and related data.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to be self-directed, handle multiple concurrent tasks, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and supervising a variety of people as a leader, coach and change agent.
