As a Lab Assistant you will perform general laboratory and clerical procedures such as phlebotomy and procedures related to the production of media, waste management, customer service, data entry as well as the receipt, handling, accessioning, preparation and distribution of laboratory specimens. 

 

This exciting and rewarding role calls for completion of a Lab Assistant training program and one year of experience working in a Lab setting. Along with the ability to type 45 wpm, you must also have strong written and verbal communications skills. Organization skills and teamwork will all identify you as our ideal candidate for this position.

Lower Mainland Laboratories is a service of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), responsible for providing public laboratory services throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Hospital-based laboratories in Vancouver Coastal Health, Fraser Health, Providence Health Care and PHSA provide both inpatient and outpatient laboratory services.  These specialty laboratories provide a variety of reference and specialized testing.
