Licensed Practical Nurse - Centre for the Southern Interior
Wage: $25.56 to $28.23 per hour
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 0730-1530, 0800-1600, 0830-1630, 0900-1700

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of nursing procedures and provides personal care to patients in areas such as Radiation Therapy, Systemic Therapy and In-Patient Nursing units. Duties and responsibilities include preparing patients for examination(s), preparing examining rooms, assisting with patient physical examinations, performing nursing procedures such as catheterizations and sterile dressings, maintaining related instruments and equipment, assisting with activities of daily living and performing related clerical duties.
Education, Training and Experience
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC)
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
