BC Children's Hospital (BCCH) cares for the province's most acutely ill or injured children and youth, provides developmental and rehabilitation services to children and youth throughout BC, and offers a broad range of health services. Pediatric Anesthesiologist

BC Children’s Hospital provides a full range of pediatric surgical services, including interventional radiology & cardiology, sedation services for oncology, gastroenterology, burns & radiotherapy.
Your appointment will include all clinical anesthesia responsibilities outside of cardiac anesthesia and participation in the activities of the acute pain service. As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia, your participation and leadership will contribute to the improvement pediatric anesthesia and pain management. You will have the opportunity to make an impact in both education and research at BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia.
Candidates should have completed an MD degree and anesthesia training in addition to completion of further subspecialty training in both anesthesiology and pediatric critical care medicine. You must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in British Columbia.
Current clinical expertise in pediatric anesthesia and previous administrative or equivalent managerial expertise is essential.
The ideal candidate will bring subspecialty clinical interest and expertise and/or additional academic qualifications to the position.
Successful candidates will be recommended for appointment to the University of British Columbia. Academic rank is dependent on qualifications and will be recommended by the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
