Complex Pain Pediatric Anesthesiologist

BC Children’s Hospital provides multidisciplinary complex pain care to children and families. BC Children’s hospital also provides a full range of pediatric surgical services, as well as interventional radiology and sedation services for oncology, gastroenterology, burns & radiotherapy.
Your appointment will include participation in complex pain care delivery at BC Children’s Hospital. In addition your appointment will include participation in clinical procedural anesthesia care and participation in the activities of the acute pain service. As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia, your participation and leadership will contribute to the improvement pediatric complex pain care and general pediatric anesthesia. You will have the opportunity to make an impact in both education and research at BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia.
Candidates should have completed an MD degree and anesthesia training and have further subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia and pediatric pain medicine. You must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will bring additional academic qualifications and a passion for research or education to the position.
Successful candidates will be recommended for appointment to the University of British Columbia. Academic rank is dependent on qualifications and will be recommended by the Department of Anesthesia, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
