General Practitioner in Medical Oncology
BC Cancer Agency - Fraser Valley Centre
Regular Part Time (0.50 FTE) Opportunity Available
Working with one other GP Oncologist at the Fraser Valley Centre, you will participate exclusively in the care of Oncology patients, in conjunction with a team of Medical Oncologists based at BC Cancer Fraser Valley Centre in Surrey.
Ours is a unique model that sees you, as a member of an interdisciplinary cancer care team, actively involved in the clinical assessment and management of cancer patients, primarily in the ambulatory care setting. Responsibilities include assessment and management of outpatients receiving systemic therapy.
You will have the advantage of a regular daytime schedule, with no weekend or on-call shifts. Successful candidates will be Licentiates of the Medical Council of Canada, and hold a BC Medical License and current certificate with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC. You must be able to obtain active staff privileges at the Fraser Valley Centre’s host hospitals, meeting the requirements as defined by the Professional Advisory of BC Cancer. You will have experience as a General Practitioner in Medical Oncology or Hospitalist with experience in solid tumors, especially lymphoma and breast cancer.
