BCEHS may offer on-call lateral transfer opportunities for Casual On-Call for EMR Transfer Fleet - Station 288, posted in the month of October 2026.
On-Call Casual Lateral: Station 288 - EMR Transfer Fleet
Ground transfer fleet includes Monday - Friday Delta and Echo shift patterns as well as 7 days/week Lima shifts. These positions will function and be paid at the EMR rate of pay.
On-call lateral transfers for this posting will be processed for a December 1, 2026 start date at the new station. The filling of the positions is done as per the Collective Agreement.
In order to be considered for future lateral transfer opportunities, you must apply on the appropriate monthly posting(s).
- For employees: All employees currently attached to 288 Transfer Fleet positions (including Regular, Irregular, and on-call employees) will be attached to Post 288 as their primary operator, including: 288 Transfer Fleet units, 262 Lima units, 269 Lima units
- These employees will transition with their existing assignments and will not be required to rebid as a result of this post designation change.
- Employees attached to 288 will be considered as out-of-post for shifts in the Vancouver Post, and employees attached to Vancouver post will be considered out-of-post for shifts in 288.

The requirements for employment with BCEHS as a paramedic are that you hold a minimum valid Class 4 BC Driver’s License and a current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) License as issued by EMA Licensing. To ensure you are paid at the proper rate and scheduled correctly, you are required to provide copies of your EMALB and ICBC licenses to prior to the expiry date of the license or for any renewals, licence upgrades or restrictions. It will remain the employee’s responsibility to submit their own license updates. License renewals need to be submitted at least five days prior to license expiry.
