BCEHS would like to identify ACP qualified/post probationary paramedics who are interested in working as PRU Paramedics to backfill vacancies on an as needed basis.

 

 

OPEN TO: Post-probationary ACP licensed paramedics with 3 years plus a day experience, then Post-Probationary ACP up to 3 years’ experience.

 

 

**This EOI is for ALL interested ACPs who currently do not own an ACP PRU position. Current ACP PRU staff do not need to apply.

 

 

 

Even if you are currently accessing this work and are deemed qualified (Paramedic Specialist, ACP Community Paramedic, ACP Educator, ACP licensed OCPS), you still need to apply to be placed in the pool.**

 

 

ACP PRU support pool paramedics will support work as a single ACP responding to emergency and non-emergency calls. PRU ACP support pool paramedics are responsible for all aspects of patient care, patient accompaniment during transport and provide appropriate level of scene support.

 

 

There is no term attached to the support pool group.

 

 

Once selected, employees without LRU training will be required to complete LRU training facilitated by Learning and a skills refresher as necessary.

You must successfully complete the LRU Training Course delivered by BCEHS Learning prior to being scheduled for a shift.

Please ensure your EMALB and ICBC licenses are up to date before posting closing. To ensure you are paid at the proper rate and scheduled correctly, you are required to email licenses@bcehs.cacopies of any EMALB and ICBC license upgrades, renewals or restrictions on your licenses. It will remain the employee’s responsibility to submit their own license updates to licenses@bcehs.ca. License renewals need to be submitted at least five (5) days prior to license expiry.
