The Deeley Research Centre with BC Cancer is inviting applications for a research faculty position at the level of a distinguished scientist. This opportunity is aimed at those with a strong potential to establish an innovative, high-impact research program.
Priority research areas include molecular mechanisms of cancer biology, functional genomics, synthetic and systems biology, stem cell biology, and immunology. Special interest will be given to candidates focusing on blood or lung cancer initiation and progression, though exceptional applicants in all priority areas will be considered.
The Terry Fox Laboratory is an interdisciplinary research environment with strong clinical integration, enabling rapid translation of discoveries into patient outcomes. Researchers benefit from access to annotated biobanks, tumour tissue repositories, and a range of on-site core resources, including advanced genomics, animal modeling, and flow cytometry platforms.
Candidates should hold a PhD and/or MD and demonstrate a strong record of postdoctoral or equivalent research achievement.
