Salary Range: $58,494-$76,773/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.

Job Summary:
In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values, and strategic directions of Provincial Health Services Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Associate, Talent Acquisition (TA) participates as a member of the TA team to provide general support and a variety of recruitment services to external candidates and employees, human resource teams, and hiring leaders/designates in consultation with the Advisor and members of the TA team. The Associate supports a broad range of recruitment activities including creating job postings, creating offer letters, calculating wage placements, completing ID checks, completing reference checks, coordinating applicant testing, and functioning as a key contact in responding to candidates.
Duties/Accountabilities:
- Carries out accountabilities for assigned portfolio including verifying job postings, reviewing a high volume of applications and generating applicant lists as per posting deadlines for hiring leaders across the organization in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Contributes to ongoing process improvement and standardization. Demonstrates compliancy with HR policies and recruitment processes and guidelines.
- Manages centralized email boxes and phone lines - responds to employee inquiries by providing guidance and orientation on processes, and by providing detailed information on job/assignment, HR policies and BC Employment Standards.
- Provides assistance to Advisor and TA team members, HR managers, hiring leaders/designates non-contract and unionized staff in regards to the recruitment process and policies.
- Maintains and enters temporary staffing timekeeping, including timesheet distribution and auditing of hours, generating reports for the Advisor and finance cost recovery. Functions as the main point of contact/triage for all incoming inquiries from temporary staff regarding payroll and on boarding.
- Abides by PHSA Storage & Retention of Competition Files process guidelines by receiving, reviewing and storing documentation of competition files.
Qualifications:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Diploma in Human Resource Management plus a minimum of one (1) year of recent related experience.
- Knowledge of Collective Agreements within Healthcare sector is an asset.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; aptitude to listen, ascertain the needs of clients, develop relationships, and respond accordingly in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work with emphasis on time sensitive and confidential matters.
- Must possess a high level of commitment to customer service, be detailed oriented, flexible and a true team player.
- Advanced computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs, e.g. MS Word, Outlook, Excel, is required.
- Ability to type at 55 wpm.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and PeopleSoft or HRIS system experience is an asset.
