As such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

The BC Health Workday Program is a provincial initiative with seven participating BC health organizations (FHA, IHA, ISLH, NHA, PHC, PHSA and VCHA). The program began in 2023 to implement a Human Capital Management System (HCMS) software solution as part of the BC Health Human Resources Strategy to transform HR services. Designed by Workday Canada, the new provincial platform will replace existing HR and payroll systems in the health organizations with a single, unified technical system that will standardize and modernize HR and payroll services. It is a significant transformation in BC and is vital to the sustainability of BC’s health system.

The Tester supports the BC Health Workday deployment by designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test scenarios across all phases to ensure system functionality, data integrity, and compliance with business requirements. 3. Performs testing across all phases—such as end-to-end, parallel, regression, integration, user acceptance and payroll—executing test cases, documenting results, and logging defects using test management and defect tracking tools.
  4. Prepares and maintains test data sets, configure test environments, and support user account setup for role-based testing (e.g., Managers, Employees), working with IT and functional teams as needed.
  5. Identifies, categorizes, and escalates defects; collaborate with Workday teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and retest impacted functionality.
  6. Ensures traceability from requirements to test cases, and maintain all test artifacts including test scripts, results, and issue logs in alignment with project quality standards and audit requirements.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
