About the Position

  • We are searching for a permanent Manager, Travel and Call Centre to join our Individual Plans team.
  • PBC’s compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $94,000 - $114,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you’ll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

Your ability to provide leadership to our Travel Sales team, work on process optimization, recommending travel product changes or enhancements, and creating tactical plans will provide value to the Individual Plans department.

Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact

 

In this role, you will provide leadership to the Individual Plans team by planning, directing, and controlling aspects of the Travel Sales team by ensuring a skilled workforce is in place, there is a departmental tactical plan and budget, and partnering across the organization to plan and implement best practices and technologies.  

 

As the Manager, Travel and Call Centre, you will be responsible for leading the Travel Sales team through coaching, training, and performance management.

 

This role researches and then recommends changes or enhancements to travel products.

 

You’ll work on department strategic planning, distribution planning, and sales management for Individual Plans with a focus on Travel sales.

 

The manager creates the departmental tactical plan in line with corporate objectives, establishes individual objectives, communicates organization and department goals and expectations to the Travel Sales team.

 

In this role, you’ll track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends.

 

The manager coordinates with Marketing on lead generation and advertising campaigns.

 

You’ll research, recommend, and implement technologies and best practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the department to help PBC remain cost effective and competitive.

 

Key Experiences You Bring To This Role 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in Business, Economics, or an equivalent discipline including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision.
  • Level 2 General Insurance License valid in British Columbia.
  • 5 - 8 years of related experience in sales, in a call center environment, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated leadership, customer service, consumer sales call centre, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
