About the Position
- We are searching for a permanent Manager, Software Engineering to join our Information and Technology Services (IaTS) team.
- PBC’s compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you’ll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact
The Manager, Software Engineering provides leadership and support to the department by planning, directing, controlling aspects of departmental operations including staffing, executing departmental tactical plans, budgeting, and working with partners across the organization to implement best practices and technologies.
This role is responsible for achieving departmental KPI’s and ensuring projects are completed on-time, on-budget, and to required standards.
As the Manager, you will be responsible for the management of one or more Agile teams of cross-functional software engineering resources tasked with supporting business operations.
In this role you ensure that team members can continue to develop, align with Agile principles, and increase product/service quality.
The manager the business needs are met with each deployment by ensuring that business needs are defined, and that development, testing and deployment is undertaken according to best practices.
This role continually optimizes processes and implements automation opportunities.
You would develop and maintain procedures, workflows, and service in the Engineering department to meet strategic goals.
This role plans and manages all production support release activities based on user needs, business priorities, team capacity, and technology capabilities.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in Computer Sciences, IT, MIS, or an equivalent field including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision.
- Excellent knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of DevOps.
- 5 - 8 years of related experience in computer application support and systems analysis, including:
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership position; managing and/or directing IT development resources with competing demands to deliver against business objectives.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross functional resource teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to support a 24/7 environment.
