Position: Full Time Irregularly Scheduled PCP

Location: Chilliwack

Positions:  4 (four)

Posted: January 21, 2026

Closed: February 3, 2026

BCEHS intends to fill 4 (four) vacancies for Full-time Irregularly Scheduled Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) in Chilliwack.

Employees will be selected for these vacancies in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

All applicants, including current FT employees in Chilliwack who want to take part in the shuffle process, must apply to the posting AND submit the Post Shuffle Preference Form to ensure their shift pattern and platoon preference is considered by seniority when assigning positions.

To complete the application process all applicants applying to the posting must:  Apply to the posting and submit a completed Post Shuffle Preference form for the purpose of shift pattern and platoon selection. Both steps must be completed by the closing date of the posting; apply to the posting and submit the Post Shuffle Preference Form.

  • If an Employee applies to the posting but does not submit a completed Post Shuffle Preference form, the applicant will not be considered as an applicant for the posting.
  • If an Employee submits a Completed Post Shuffle Preference form, but does not apply to the posting, the applicant will not be considered as an applicant for the posting.

The form can be found on the BCEHS website at https://liquidoffice.bcehs.ca:4433/lfserver/EHS_0176 and must be submitted to the BCEHS Recruitment Helpdesk following the instructions on the form.

A how-to tutorial on filling out the shuffle form can be found here: Post Shuffle Process Guide

Forms submitted to managers, unit chiefs or other areas will not be accepted. Employees must submit a separate form for each posting. Forms for multiple posts or postings will be deemed invalid.  Shuffle preference forms for this posting must be received by Talent Acquisition by February 3, 2026.

The shuffle process will take place immediately following recruitment of FT irregular positions. Vacancies will be filled by seniority and request for all positions throughout the process. Current FT Irregular Employees will only be moved if one of their preferred positions become available. Employee request forms will expire upon completion of the shuffle, and employees will need to submit a new request for all future postings.

A Post Shuffle Guideline Document was developed between BCEHS and CUPE 873 to summarize and clarify the recruitment and post shuffle processes under the provisions of the collective agreement.  Please refer to the guideline located here on the BCEHS Intranet.
