FT Regularly Scheduled PCP employees in the Vancouver Post wishing to lateral to a new position must apply to posting and submit the FULL TIME REGULAR SCHEDULED EMPLOYEE LATERAL REQUEST FORM VANCOUVER POST available on the BCEHS Intranet under 'Forms and Templates'.

The application process consists of two (2) steps - Both steps must be completed by the closing date of the posting for successful submission:

  • Step 1 – applicants to apply for the posting and;
  • Step 2 – applicants to submit the FULL TIME REGULAR SCHEDULED EMPLOYEE LATERAL REQUEST FORM VANCOUVER POST by posting closing date indicating their preference

** This form must only be completed and submitted in the CHROME or EDGE browser.  You will receive confirmation if your form has been submitted successfully. These requests will be accepted up to and including January 15, 2026.

 

Please note preferences may not be altered after the close of the posting.

 

Forms submitted to managers, unit chiefs or other areas will not be accepted.

 

  • If an Employee applies to the posting but does not submit a completed FULL TIME REGULAR SCHEDULED EMPLOYEE LATERAL REQUEST FORM VANCOUVER POST, the applicant will not be considered and will be bypassed.
  • If an Employee submits a completed FULL TIME REGULAR SCHEDULED EMPLOYEE LATERAL REQUEST FORM VANCOUVER POST, but does not apply to the posting, employee will not be considered as an applicant for the posting and will be bypassed.

The shuffle process will take place immediately following the closing of the posting and vacancies will be filled by seniority and request. Employee request forms will expire upon completion of the shuffle, and employees will need to submit a new request for the next post shuffle process.

 

As per: STANDARD OPERATING GUIDELINES Article 13.00 Selection - Lateral [Post Shuffle] Guidelines – FT & RPT

0.1.9 In-post applicants who have submitted a post shuffle preference form will not be permitted to rescind their application or decline the new position after the close of the posting.

 

As per the https://intranet.bcehs.ca/mlink/file/MjIyNw?type=attachment  any eligible employees that do not have a PCP license and who accept full-time or regular part-time PCP-level paramedic positions following the ratification of the 2022-2025 Collective Agreement will be required to successfully complete paid PCP training as a condition of employment along with a three (3) year return of service. You will be required to enroll and complete education at the earliest possible opportunity once approved for employer-funded education. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure they meet the school’s pre-requisite requirements for enrollment of PCP program.

Employees who hold a paramedic license should ensure that a valid copy of their highest license level is on file with Human Resources. As per your employment contract: You are required to email licenses@bcehs.ca copies of any license upgrades, renewals or restrictions on your license. It will remain the employee’s responsibility to submit their own license updates to licenses@bcehs.ca. License renewals need to be submitted at least five (5) days prior to license expiry.
