Pediatric Plastic Surgeon Locum

British Columbia Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia (UBC) are seeking a part time (0.55FTE) pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon to join a group of seven full or part time pediatric plastic surgeons in a practice dedicated to excellence in clinical care, teaching and research. BC Children’s serves as the major referral centre for infants and children throughout British Columbia and the Yukon (a region with a population of 5.1 million).
Applicants should be eligible for specialty certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. The Successful applicant must have completed a fellowship in pediatric plastic surgery, and a minimum of five years’ experience in the field is preferred.
The successful candidate will contribute to clinical care across the Division’s programs, including cleft palate/craniofacial, hand, burns, vascular anomalies, and trauma, and will participate in on-call coverage and teaching of trainees at all levels. There is an urgent need to fill this position, and the successful candidate should be available to start by December 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through continuous development, modelling inclusive behaviours and proactively managing bias. The successful candidate will be appointed to the University of British Columbia Division of Plastic Surgery at a level commensurate with their experience.

Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) respects your right to privacy and takes seriously its responsibilities regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
