BC Emergency Health Services is seeking employees to be part of the Planned Events pool.
Selection will be in accordance with Article 13.01 of the collective agreement. Selection of a minimum of 10 (ten) PCPIVs via Article 13.01.
Employees will be selected from within the Vancouver Post including stations 287 & 288 based in Vancouver to add to the qualified pool and able to work Planned Events with the skills and knowledge base to represent BCEHS in a contracted setting.
Training will be a single day on either November 23 or November 28, 2025 at Station 240.
BCEHS is seeking employees who meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a PCPIV license
- Comfortable working in an ACP de-paired model
- Be attached to the Post selected for training
- Have no medical or operational restrictions that prevent them from working
- Work well as a member of a close-knit team
- Demonstrate the highest level of diplomacy, tact, teamwork, and adaptability
- Have demonstrated that they can consistently represent both BCEHS and the EMS profession in a credible and responsible manner
- Are able and willing to be an ambassador that embodies all BCEHS values, creating an atmosphere that is always positive, respectful, and professional
- Understand and demonstrate the ability to be self-directed
- Willing and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions and under demanding situations
- Agree to, and abide by, the BCEHS Code of Ethics
- Will attend a single training date, either November 23, November 28, at station 240.
